Geriatric Foot Care

Geriatric Foot Care

There really isn’t specific care for a geriatric patient.

If an individual can no longer physically care for their own feet, then we happily do it for them. Like everyone else, they are subject to poor systemic health, poor foot structure, and even injury. As such we treat them just as we would anyone else. For our older patients relief from pain, maintaining mobility, and improving stability and independence are vitally important. One fall can be catastrophic and change the course of that person’s life forever, thus we spend a lot of time advising on simple changes to make such an even less likely.

Regardless of the situation, we pride ourselves on serving a very large number of seniors most of whom view visits to our office as something pleasurable event rather than the drudgery of yet another doctor’s visit!
